Getting Healthy

Well My Wordstock sickness is coming to a close, thank the Lord! Which means its back to work for me! At the office I had so much work stacked up I could hardly see my desk, heh, just have to keep reminding myself to rest in the Lord.
Anyway I ran today, with Hiki, It was our XD bonding time. We ran about 4 miles, plus some bleachers(Hik is pretty much the best running partner EVER.) Was fun, and challenging it’s definitely going to take some time to get back in shape, but I’m happy. Sorry if this is boring but, this is a blog about running, and as such I need to start writing about it more. Cheers.

One Last Wordstock Post

I thought I was done blogging about Wordstock, but I wanted to answer a couple questions people have been asking me.
1. Did you do the cover of the yearbook?No.
2. Why isn’t Redsky in the yearbook? Well, I worked on the yearbook till 5am one night, and somehow I forgot Redsky’s photo, not on purpose I assure you. I actually really dig Redsky, and would definitly not have snubbed my home members on purpose, sheesh.
Kay well now that, thats all cleared up here’s a few more Wordstock photos.

So is this a Running Blog, or What?

It’s late I have a fever, and I can’t sleep. So I was pondering the fact that when I went to Wordstock people almost immediately recognized me as the girl who runs so she can eat. Heh. Thats all well and good and all except I haven’t been running much lately, which the dismal numbers in my sidebar remind me of, everytime I visit my blog.
And its embarassing when people ask you what your weekly mileage is these days, and you have to mumble out something lame like ten miles. Thing is I’ve been busy, and lazy, and….. yeah stupid excuses. Does this mean I have to change the name of my blog? I really like the name though.
Hmm I think I need to get back on the running bandwagon. I need to power through a ten miler to remind myself why I fell in love with running in the first place. That feeling you can only get when you push your body past its breaking point, when you feel like quiting after 5 miles, but you convince yourself to go just a little father.
The only thing better than that amazing runners high, is when you perservere in the Spirit, and reach that place, where the spiritual and physical world collide. Hasn’t happened to me that many times, but man when it does…amazing Just talking about it makes me wanna do it. Ok well thats what I’ll do. And I’ll tell you all about it. Wish me well, yes?
And Mike D, if you are reading this blog, your faithful running at Wordstock seriously convicted me, talk about dedication… sheesh.

It is finished…

I’m home! I’m a bit feverish and sick with a cold, but I had a wonderful vacation with my family and friends, and Wordstock while it was alot of work, was also alot of fun, and I’m so thankful I got the chance to attend once again.
The bands were great, my personal favorite was Safe Haven. Something about Haven’s songs just move me, her lyrics are so real and illustrate so much of what I have- and am still -going through. I think “I will go on” Is one of my favorite songs right now, and it never fails to leave me misty eyed.

I Made It….

After flying through a storm(think roller coaster ride), being delayed 3 and a half hours, and almost missing my connecting flight, I’m here PTL. My flight was suposed to get in around 10:30, needless to say I made it in at about 1:30am, I’m just thankful I made it.
Anyway other then that all is well, and I’m enjoying catching up with family and friends. I’ll post more when something interesting happens. Jamie had to leave early this mornning *sniff* hopefully I’ll get to see her again before I leave.
